Seniors at the J know how to have a good time! From enjoying the occasional therapy dog visit, to lunch with the Early Childhood kids, attending luncheons with special guest speakers, and watching exciting performances at the award-winning Sheldon Vexler Theatre, there is never a dull moment here!

The JCC offers a wide variety of classes optimized for seniors 65+. To sign-up for any of these classes, or to find out more information, please contact Maya Siler at (210) 302-6860. Transportation to and from the JCC is available for senior activities. Please indicate your need when speaking with Maya.

  • Alzheimer's Disease - Conversations about Dementia: Tips to Help with Family Conversations - Wednesday, February 4 | 10:30 AM - Noon | Call Maya to reserve your free space

    This education workshop is offered by the Alzheimer’s Association to help address the fear or lack of awareness that often accompanies having these conversations which can result in delays that have serious consequences for the entire family. This program will offer helpful tips to assist families with difficult conversations related to dementia, including going to the doctor, deciding when to stop driving, and making legal and financial plans for future care needs.
