The San Antonio Symphony performs at the JCC

The JCC has hosted a variety of artists, including Allison Gregory, Kori Ashton, Ita BB, Omar Rodriguez, and the JCC's very own Glen Andrews II, among others, as well as a vast array of musical events featuring acclaimed musicians, including award winning pianists, the San Antonio Symphony, and the Symphony of the Incarnate Word. Throughout the year, the JCC features an eclectic range of Musical and Art events to enlighten, enrich, and entertain the community.

  • San Antonio Symphony at the J presents... - Tuesday, October 21 | 7:00 PM | Holzman Auditorium | FREE & Open to the Community

    This all-Baroque program will feature works by Bach, Telemann, Geminiani, and Förster.  San Antonio Symphony principal horn player Jeff Garza will perform as a soloist with the orchestra under the direction of Akiko Fujimoto.

  • The J Goes to the McNay for a performance of Rachel Calof: A Memoir with Music | Thursday, December 11 | 6:30 PM | McNay Art Museum

    At the age of 18 Rachel Calof, a Jewish picture bride, emigrated from Russia to North Dakota to make a new life as a homesteader. In a twelve-by-fourteen foot shack, Rachel and her husband Abraham make a home with her in-laws, her husband’s brother, two dozen chickens, and a cow.  Enjoy this one-woman show with other JCC members!
