Youth Staff Take on New Roles
Director of Youth & Camping Services
Dylan, a graduate from UTSA, has been a staff member at the JCC for 20 years, where he has worn a variety of hats. He began his JCC journey as the Cub Scout coordinator and as an after school worker and was soon shifted to the Early Childhood program where he taught Pre K for 12 years. He then became the Teen Coordinator/BBYO City Director along with JCC Maccabi Games Delegation Head for Team San Antonio.
In 2015, Dylan was promoted to Associate Director of Youth and Camping services providing direct service to the Kids Club program as well as playing and administrative, planning, and implementing role in summer camp.
And now, Dylan has once again been promoted to JCC Director of Youth and Camping Services, where he will continue to directly impact youth and camping programming and expand his supervisory role to include the Teen, BBYO and JCC Maccabi Games initiatives.
Director of Camping & Youth Services
Rachel Rustin has recently taken on a new role at the JCC as the Camp Director, after serving as a part of the camp administrative team for the last 12 summers.
Rachel has been a member of the JCC staff since 2005 and has worked in the Early Childhood, Youth and Adult departments. Rachel will continue to run youth theatre programs and the Judaics After School (JAS) program, in addition to her new responsibilities coordinating Fall, Winter, Spring and Summer Camps.
Rachel has an undergraduate degree from Rice University, a Masters in Non-Profit Management and a Certificate in Jewish Education for Adolescents and Emerging Adults from Hebrew Union College. She is also a past participant of the Merrin Teen Professional Fellowship, a professional development program of the JCC Association.
