Senior Director of Enrichment, Arts and Culture
Position title: Sr. Director of Enrichment, Arts and Culture FLSA: Salary/Exempt
DEPARTMENT: Adult Family Arts & Culture PAY RANGE: $70,000 - $80,000 per year
Reporting Relationship: Reports to the CEO ADDITIONAL: 40 hours/week, On-site
The Senior Director of Enrichment, Arts and Culture is responsible for oversight and strategy related family, adult, and arts and culture programming and engagement. This position focuses on mission driven programs related to related to adult, family, arts and culture, and the agency’s Jewish identity. The establishment of close working relationships between multiple departments is critical to the success of this position

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Align the strategic direction for the department with the mission, vision, and values of the JCC.
•Provide leadership and supervision of the JCC's adult, family, art and culture, and Judaic team.
•Work in conjunction with key staff to continue existing partnerships and collaborations with community organizations as well as to expand and develop new relationships and collaborations with both Jewish and non-Jewish organizations
• Oversee grant program report functions as needed and prescribed related to program focus areas.
• Supervise and administer the agency’s Esstman Fund Scholarship distributions.
• Develop and lead active and engaged committees relevant to the Department.
• Attend Board and Executive Committee meetings as needed.
• Partner with the Marketing Director to coordinate marketing efforts related to relevant program areas.
• Develop comprehensive plans related to agency outreach, communication and engagement in connection with key program areas.
• Evaluate the variety and mix of programs offered by the organization directly and in the community to promote and create opportunities that are strategically aligned with the interests of the JCC’s current and potential audience.
• Represent the agency at relevant community events.
• Support the team in visioning, planning and implementing events related to key program areas, including but not limited to, Jewish Journey family events, annual Jewish Film Festival, Author Series, and Artistic Journeys.
• Develop new/expanded, relevant, and value-added programming in each department, cultivating the new programs with the appropriate staff, and supervising the execution of the programs.
• Manage program budgets.
• Establish and/or refine processes to evaluate programs, both formally and informally.
• Collaborate with the CEO to identify potential funding partners to support Older Adult, Family, Arts and Culture and Judaic programs and services.
• Work with the JCC team to generate opportunities to reignite or strengthen connections with local Jewish adults through targeted marketing, collaborative programming and/or special events.
• All other assignments as deemed appropriate by the CEO.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s Degree or related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3+ years’ management and supervisory experience.
• 5+ years’ non-profit or similar experience.
• Excellent project management and prioritization skills.
• Very familiar with the local Jewish community and culture or have previously worked at a JCC or similar organization.
• Experienced in event planning including the use of audio-visual equipment.
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs.

Driver - Substitute
Drivers are responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation to programs and events offered at the Barshop JCC, including older adult activities and after-school programs and field trips. Drivers are ultimately responsible for ensuring that the bus or van is safe to operate.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Transport older adults from home to the JCC for program events and classes.
• Transport after-school students daily from school to the JCC and field
• Assist older adults and children with getting on and off the vehicles as needed.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Check vehicles for oil, transmission fluid, and
• Wash vans; report any problems with the vehicles.
• Protect the health and safety of all transported children and older adults.
• Attend team meetings and other meetings as scheduled by the JCC.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• 21 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Possess a Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with P and S Endorsements – Required
• Clean driving record required
• Experience working with older adults and children preferred
• Experience driving multi-passenger vehicles such as a school bus, passenger van and mini-van
• Infant/Child/Adult CPR and First Aid certification preferred

Hendin Fitness Center Attendants
Position title: Fitness Center Attendant FLSA: Hourly/Non-Exempt/Part-Time
DEPARTMENT: Sports & fitness PAY RANGE: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Fitness & Group Exercise Supervisor
ADDITIONAL: 10 hours/week – 11:00AM – 4:00PM, Mondays and Wednesdays
This position enhances the member experience by creating a welcoming, clean and safe environment in the Fitness Center and exercise studios for JCC Members and guests while providing the highest quality of customer service.
To be successful, the candidate must:
• Work well as part of a collaborative team.

• Be friendly, patient, professional and empathetic with all individuals.
• Possess strong multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills.
• Be able to maintain strict confidentiality of member information.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Develop, motivate and maintain professional relationships with members and guests by providing personal attention using a proactive approach.
• Provide basic assistance, orientation and guidance to users of the fitness equipment.
• Ensure a safe environment and promptly respond to and report safety and emergency situations.
• Clean all equipment after member use and keep the fitness center tidy at all times.
• Launder towels and maintain a steady towel supply for members.
• Enforce Fitness Center and Weight Room etiquette with members and guests.
• Continuously walk the Fitness Center engaging with members while enforcing safety and sanitation protocols.
• Monitor equipment and report any maintenance issues to Fitness & Group Exercise Supervisor.
• Behave as a role model by leading and promoting a healthy lifestyle and maintain a positive attitude at all times when working with members.
• Provide hospitality to all members and guests and work together as a team with all departments.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of member information.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Physical requirements and working conditions of the position include, but are not limited to:
• Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.

Lifeguard & Swim Instructors (Summer Only)

The JCC offers Lifeguard Certification classes.
Swim Instructors must have WSI, Swim America or a comparable swim instructor certification.

Assistant Early Childhood Teacher (Part-Time)
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, caring, individual who enjoys working with young children to fill a part-time Assistant Teacher position at our NAEYC Accredited early childhood program.
