Woman and veteran-owned since 2014, The UPS Store® 1756 speaks multiple languages (English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian). Located at 2313 Lockhill-Selma Rd. (and N.W. Military Hwy.), The UPS Store® 1756 is here to help individuals and small businesses by offering a wide range of products and services. While we're your local packing and shipping experts, we do much more. The UPS Store® is your local print shop, providing professional printing and graphic design services to market your small business or to help you complete your personal project or presentation. We offer notary services, secure mailbox and package acceptance services, document shredding, office, mailing supplies, faxing, scanning, and more. Everything “-ING” for your small business, even shipping.
My wife, Anna, was born and raised in Ukraine and immigrated to the United States in 2006. She came to America with an entrepreneurial spirit and the will to accomplish anything she set her mind to. The extensive customer service and business experience she gained in both Ukraine and the United States is the cornerstone of our mission. Anna is passionately teaching our two wonderful daughters Ukrainian culture, especially Ukrainian dances, and the Russian and Ukrainian languages. She has fostered a love of art and artistic expression in our girls that simply amazes.
I was born and raised in the Houston, TX area. Both of my parents were self-employed most of their lives, and I grew to love the idea of owning a business. Suggested structure: In 1993, I enlisted in the U.S. Navy, which I left in 2000, only to be recalled to active duty for an additional year following 9/11.
In early 2006, I met Anna in Ukraine and fell in love. We married in June 2006 and have been together for over 12 years. Having served our country – between the U.S. Navy and other avenues – for close to 25 years, I realized a call to serve more than oneself. This call, combined with my entrepreneurial spirit, is my passion, second only to my family.
We choose to invest our time, energy, and life savings in The UPS Store® because of our focus on customer service. The UPS Store® instills in its franchisees a commitment and passion to service above profit; however, my love affair with The UPS Store® began in 2001, when I visited a Mail Boxes Etc. (MBE), which later became The UPS Store®. While on active duty in 2001, I found myself in need of a mailbox in Tampa, FL. I spoke to Jennifer, owner of a Mail Boxes, Etc. store in San Antonio, who graciously contacted a local store in Tampa to set everything up on my behalf. All I had to do was show up at the store in Tampa to pick-up my mailbox key. Jennifer’s dedication to serve others – in this case, me – set in motion my desire to own a business. Little did I know thirteen years later, Anna and I would not only purchase our first The UPS Store®, we purchased the very store in San Antonio I had visited in September 2001. Although Jennifer sold the store years earlier and moved away, I am reminded of all she did to help me, and every day, we endeavor to provide that same level of service to our customers.
